About this service

About this service

Have you ever been to a broker who just ‘didn’t get you’? Or maybe one whose communication was lacking and who didn’t seem to value your time? We’ve heard hundreds of horror stories that have cost people thousands of dollars, valuable time, hits on their credit report and unnecessary stress. These experiences are what give the industry a bad name, and take away from the amazing impact that the right broker can make.

Traditionally, we’re put in touch with a brokers through friends or family – but our friends and family have very different needs and preferences, so why would their favourite broker necessarily be the right fit for us?

Then of course there are those websites that sell our data to a broker in our area. Notice how the forms you fill in are all about how much you want to borrow and what kind of deposit you have? Almost makes you feel like they see you as a dollar sign.

And so, finding the right broker often becomes a process of trial and error –  or else we simply settle on one that’s ‘just good enough’, assuming we don’t give up and head straight to the bank.

We don’t think it’s in anyone’s interests to have to play a game of 50 first dates before finding the right broker. Who has the time, headspace, or energy?

We knew there had to be a better way, and so Brokermatch – Australia’s first broker matching service was born.

We created Brokermatch to make it easy for people to find the right broker, based on their individual needs and preferences. There are 17,000 mortgage and finance brokers in Australia and we are confident we can match you with the right one for you.

FAQs

Your questions, answered

You mean besides helping you find the right loan with good terms and a super competitive interest rate? The real value of a broker comes from the fact they do all the hard yards for you! They’ll work through the increasingly-onerous application process, and will be there for any follow-up – keeping the lender accountable long after you’ve signed on the dotted line.

Ha! Tell that to the bank. Lending restrictions are tighter than ever. Lenders are reeling from the recent Banking Royal Commission and require customers to jump through more and more hoops. Your broker is well-versed on the ins and outs and will guide you through the application process to help you get approved, making things infinitely easier for you.

You certainly can! But, what if a 2-minute search helped you find a broker in your area who specialises in dealing with scenarios just like yours, and whose expertise you can verify by reading through other customer’s reviews and ratings? A little due diligence never hurt anyone.

This means we’re not owned by any of the banking, media, or real estate behemoths and are not affiliated with any of the aggregators. While we regularly consult with broking industry leaders and mentors, we’re not beholden to any of them. This makes for a bias-free zone.

Absolutely not. We leave the mortgage process to the experts and stay completely out of any financial transaction. We don’t take a cut of commissions or charge for fees-per-lead. We run on a subscription model. All brokers can sign up to the Basic subscription which is free for life, or opt-in to the Premium version. We told you independence is important to us!

We’re a fake free zone. We know you can spot a fake review a mile away and so can we. All reviews are screened by our moderators who will pick up on the red flags and the shades of grey. The legitimacy of a review can also be challenged by a customer or broker and we’ll investigate straight away.

Any customer who’s consulted with a broker within the last 12-months – whether the mortgage application was successful or not. This will be verified by Brokermatch (sometimes with input from the broker themselves).

They mustn’t have signed up yet. You can write a review for any broker you’ve used within the last 12-months here.
